At Best Friends Professional our number one priority is your dog’s well being. We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure he/she has a safe but fun time while in our care.

     What is a Dog Park Adventure?       

1. We pick your dog(s) up from your home.

2. We take your dog(s) on a one hour adventure at one of Edmonton’s off-leash areas (Most likely Terwillegar or Laurier Park). Private trips may be arranged for your dog, or you may arrange for him/her to join with a small group of buddies.

3. We drop your dog(s) back home.

• Maximum buddy group size is four. This insures your dog gets the full attention he/she deserves.
• You have the choice of morning or afternoon pickup times.

• Dogs must be licensed, vaccinated and well behaved.
• Only dogs who are already well experienced at the dog park and who obey voice commands immediately are accepted for group dog park adventure trips.
• For buddy group cohesion it is required that you sign your dog up for at least two adventures per week.
• Dogs in buddy groups are matched up by temperament.

 Steps for Setting up Dog Park Adventures for Your Dog

1. Contact us, to request dog park adventure forms, and an introductory visit.

2. At the introductory visit this is your opportunity to get to know the service. The dogs, walker, and you the dog guardian all go together on a trip to the dog park. On this trip the walker assesses the dogs temperament, and interactions with other dogs and people. The dog park adventure forms that cover topics such as temperament and health, are also discussed. For the introductory visit, be sure to have the dog park adventure forms and house keys prepared for the walker. It helps if the walker feeds the dog and gives treats at this time.

3. Additional introductory visits may be requested or required to ensure the comfort and safety of all.

* Short-notice “emergency” dog visits are available for established clients who are unexpectedly detained at work or otherwise delayed from returning home on time (providing we are in possession of their house key).
